I have had a bank account with commerce bank for well over 20 years and a business account for the past 2 years. I had financial and health hardship resulting in a small negative balance for less than a month!

Commerce bank closed all 3 of my accounts with no attempts to even contact me and regardless of my long history with them! I am beyond disappointed and to be honest a little betrayed as a long term customer.

I fully understand that banks have to protect against fraud nowdays, but on 3 instances I wrote personal checks to parties that commerce decided not to pay out on. On each occasion, they allowed the payee to deposit the check, the check amount showed up in their account and after 3 days the money was pulled back out of the payees account with the verbiage "refer to maker", thus stating that I wrote 3 bounced checks.

This is the kicker, commerce never contacted me via email, text or phone letting me know of a fraud alert. *** of course I closed my accounts at commerce ***...
